Notice Concerning Closure of the Houston County Courthouse on December 24-26, 2025, and Early Closure on December 31, 2025

Pursuant to and by the authority of a Resolution approved on November 13, 2017 by the Houston County Commission, the Houston County Commission authorized the Chairman of the Houston County Commission to determine when the Houston County Courthouse, Complex, the Probate and Revenue Commission satellite buildings, public buildings owned or leased by and under the control of the Houston County Commission, and other county buildings are to be closed for an emergency or for special circumstances deemed necessary or appropriate.

Pursuant to that Resolution, the Chairman of the Houston County Commission has attempted to notify and communicate with all commissioners of the Houston County Commission prior to making the determination and has made the determination to close said building(s) for an emergency or for special circumstances deemed necessary or appropriate.

Therefore, notice is hereby given that due to Gubernatorial and other administrative orders, the Houston County Courthouse will be closed December 24-26, 2025, and will close at noon on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
