Laboratory Supervisor
Water Lab
The Houston County Water Lab provides bacteriological testing of drinking water. They provide testing for municipalities and private wells in the southeast region of Alabama. The cost for each sample is $20.00 and samples are accepted Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rabies Lab
The Houston County Rabies Lab investigates human exposure, delivers quarantine orders and ensures owners comply with Alabama rabies law.
They also investigate rabies cases and will capture suspicious animals and transport them to shelter for evaluation. The rabies lab is also responsible for investigating complaints regarding wild and stray animals.
