In Home Services

The Houston County In-Home Services Program serves senior citizens age 60 and over.  The program assists seniors with their daily living activities to include; meal preparation, grocery shopping and other similar errands, limited housekeeping chores, reading, letter writing, outreach and information assistance just to name a few.

In-Home Services can assist qualified seniors with LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) sign up.  The LIHEAP program is coordinated through SEACAP (Southeast Alabama Community Action Partnership) to provide energy assistance twice per year.  This program is provided if funding is available and certain income requirements have to be met.

Other programs that In-Home Services may assist with are SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), SFMNP (Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program) and the Brown Bag Program, which is provided through the Wiregrass Area Food Bank.

As you can see, the In-Home Services Program offers many services to seniors in Houston County.  We take pride in providing services to Houston County seniors by helping to make their daily living activities less stressful.  It is a pleasure to make those that we serve S-M-I-L-E.
