Refuse Truck Driver
The Personnel Board of Houston County is developing an employment register for a Refuse Truck Driver position. A completed application must be submitted online at www.houstoncountyal.gov/jobs by 4:30 pm on the closing date.
Job Duties:
Drives packer-type truck, Automated Side Loader, or truck used for collecting garbage and trash, along assigned route, and transports load to disposal area. Oversees the crew engaged in the collection, loading, and packing of garbage and trash. Responsible for pre-trip inspection of vehicle, and post trip clean up and check, mileage and fuel consumption report.
Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English plus 6 months experience in refuse collection or an equivalent
Other: Valid Class B, Alabama Commercial Driver’s License with medical certification. All current employees must have a valid CDL with medical certification.
