Refuse Truck Driver - Starting Salary $17.87
The Personnel Board of Houston County is developing an employment register for Refuse Truck Driver. A completed application must complete online at www.houstoncountyal.gov/jobs`
Duties:
Drives packer type truck, or truck used for collecting garbage and trash along assigned route, and transports load to disposal area. Oversees the crew engaged in the collection, loading and packing of garbage and trash. Responsible for pre-trip inspection of vehicle, and post trip clean up and check, mileage and fuel consumption reports.
Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English plus 6 months experience in refuse collection
Other:
Valid Class B, Alabama Commercial Driver’s License with medical certification.
All current employees must have a valid CDL with medical certification.
Salary Range:
$17.87 - $27.03 (Grade 17)
