Sanitation Billing Supervisor
Job Summary
The position is responsible for developing and maintaining processes to ensure that Houston County receives all revenue due for the residential garbage collected by the county. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate sanitation customer data base, identifying those customers that have failed to remit payment on a timely basis, coordinating with the Accounting Manager for collection of past due accounts, and conducting other support tasks associated with the sanitation fee collection process. The Sanitation Administrative Assistant reports directly to this position.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for coordinating the collection of the sanitation fee payments.
- Maintain various files and possess a thorough knowledge of both the purpose and mechanics of these files as well as a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures associated with the billing and collection process.
- Coordinate and comply with the Houston County Solid Waste Office.
- Supervise Administrative Assistant
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or G.E.D. Certificate plus three years of collection experience combined with public contact and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Starting Salary: Grade 19 ($21.23-$32.14)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
