Arrest Made Related to Thursday Altercation

Posted February 9, 2021

Yesterday morning, in advance of the Houston County Commission Meeting, an arrest was made in front of the Houston County Administration Building after a warrant was issued as the result of an altercation last Thursday at the front door of the building. The arrest had nothing to do with any protests at the building aimed at the Commission or others.

Meetings of the Houston County Commission are currently not open to the public due to COVID restrictions but are available on Zoom and comments may be submitted via email. Anyone with items on the agenda is allowed to attend. We are not selectively restricting anyone from attending our meeting. We hope and look forward to these COVID restrictions ending soon.
