Manufactured Homes
In Alabama, all manufactured homes must be assessed on real estate, registered on land, or in a mobile home park. A numbered decal is issued for identification. Failure to purchase or display a decal could result in a citation being issued to you. A decal for manufactured homes that do not qualify to be assessed on your real estate has to be purchased from October 1st through November 30th. A delinquent fee of $10.00 will be charged after November 30th. A decal for manufactured homes that do qualify to be assessed on your real estate has be to purchased by December 31st to avoid being charged a delinquent fee. To register a manufactured home, the owner must present to the Revenue Commissioner's Office a bill of sale, a copy of the title (year 2000 or newer), and a receipt showing the casual sales tax paid. If purchased from an individual, our office will collect casual sales tax and apply for title (year 2000 or newer).
